As I looked out the window this morning and saw a blanked of white covering the stark browns and greys of winter I thought to myself; As many thousands of times as snow has covered the ground since creation it is still as beautiful as the first time I saw it. Immediately the thought came to me that this is how it is when a life is transformed through the love of Yeshua (Jesus). Where once there was only the barren skeleton of harsh existence, through the saving work of our Lord and King, He gently covers us in a blanket of white, creating a vista that both stirs and soothes the soul. How truly beautiful! As I watched I began to look for a Cardinal. They just seem to show up out here when it snows. There it is! Like a gift to the moment. The contrast of the Redbird to the pure white of the snow appears like a single drop of blood on a garment of spotless white. A reminder of a ransom paid in blood so that anyone who would believe could dress in this same manner! The snowflakes continue to fall...the blanket is woven with mastery...my heart is warmed on this cold morning as I behold the work of His hands.
