As I prepare for the next phase of documenting the spiritual journey of spiritist in Puerto Rico I can help but think of how courageous our people. Traditional leaders throughout the African Diaspora have battled racism, discrimination, religious confrontation with Christianity and physical harm and isolation. Yet they have continued to preserve our spiritual beliefs, honor nature and respect the ethical and moral principles that make us who we are. How powerful to have spiritual warriors who protect us!
