As I presently think about the looming September 2nd election for Senate in Williamsburg and surrounding counties, I have realized that this election may be more important than any of the recent elections in our district. The citizens of the district really need to vote for someone who is about great change. The time for business as usual is no longer here. We have taxes being raised each year, roads still crap, the population steadily declining, economy is not great, judicial system running all over peoples rights, and no one to bring people together for a brighter tomorrow. The new senator has to be about bringing the district together in a positive manner and getting all local leaders on the same page, so that we he does go to Columbia, he has what he needs to argue for the best for our district. It is not enough to throw some appropriation money at communities, or fish frys, or turkey dinner, or funeral visits, we really need a visionary with a strong will, determined heart, and an highly ethical moral compass.
