As I put up my Christmas tree this evening, we found the movie Heaven Is For Real on one of the movie channels. We watched as I continued with my tree... It dug up many emotions for me. I had similar (but not similar) experiences when my mom was sick and dying. Some of you know this but some may not. So I want to share some of them. The morning of the day that we would get that fateful news of my moms brain tumor I had no idea anything was wrong. I was up early fixing breakfast. Alone. I quickly turned around and I had what I now know was a vision. I saw Jesus standing in front of me with open arms. I had no idea what this meant at the time, and in fact, I tried to brush it off as maybe I was still too sleepy to think straight. Later that night, after we took my mom to the ER, and got the terrible news of her tumor, it then hit me, what had happened that morning! Jesus was telling me, with open arms, that HE would be there to carry me through what was getting ready to happen to my family. And believe me, we could feel Him carrying us through on many of those long days! Another thing was the BELLS that my mom was hearing and the angels she was seeing. She described them in great detail. So I decided to voice record her so I could forever have her voice to hear. But when I played the recording back that next day, we could actually hear BELLS on that recording. We heard NO bells while she was talking originally. Just on the recording. Amazing! Theres lots more, but for now, ponder on these things. They were just some of our blessings during that time.
