As I read this, my alarm only increases regarding Fukushimas - TopicsExpress

As I read this, my alarm only increases regarding Fukushimas situation. Tepco, who has mismanaged the cleanup from the start, supported by PM Abe (who has been bought and paid for by the Japanese nuclear consortium), is simply waiting for these poor workers to die before paying out owed hazard pay. Tepco received much criticism for hiring homeless people for the most dangerous cleanup. Now other subcontractors as well as Tepco, see stallling on payment of hazard pay to these workers as a way to improve their bottom line. The more skilled workers on site, are leaving Fukushima for safer jobs near Toyko that are being spurred by the coming Olympics, because they are seeing pay increases not forthcoming and also, many are being fired as they reach their exposure limits. So, who does that leave on site for cleanup? It leaves inexperienced, non-technical people, thus increasing the possibility of further accidents. If you are not following this as a parallel to the greed in our country, you need to be aware that the same thing could happen here in the case of a nuclear accident. Think about it.
