As I reflect on the message of overflow preached yesterday and as my spirit is still worshipping the song Fill Me Up, I cant help but think of Marys visitation. When she is told what will happen to her and who she will carry this must have been an overflow moment. There are times when the voice of God will speak to me of the things to come and I need to turn my feelings of being overwhelmed into an attitude of overflow. Whatever he presents to us is a present that will bless our future. This gift of Jesus had to be overwhelming to this virgin teenager. She was ostracized, sent into hiding, separated from all she knew but God knew the overflow was coming. When we sang Fill Me Up I thought of all the situations and circumstances Ive been filled with in 2014. My God its been one tidal wave after another. Yesterday during worship I knew that each tidal wave tried to wipe me out yet I stood and allowed the force of water to fill me with more joy, fill me with more faith, fill me with more peace and fill me with clarity of direction with my feet anchored in Him. Im not overwhelmed, Im overflowing with joy, OVERJOYED! I know like Mary what I carry unlocks the door of eternity for others. Today be encouraged for what you carry may SEPARATE you for a season but the victory that you birth out of pain will be your overflow. ((((Fill me up until I overflow))))) Then the angel told her: Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end. Luke 1:30-33
