As I root through my purse, searching amongst the loose change, fake tattoos, used kleenex {thanks kids} and rambly notes to myself, in a desperate hunt for the Costco receipt that MUST be doodled on before we leave the giant wherehouse, the slightly impatient employee asks me, Maam? How on earth did you manage to lose it between there and here? He points back to the registers not 20 meters behind us, and I stare him straight in the eye and say, Because, dear sir, I have two small children, and we bought lunch between there and here, and I answered my phone twice between there and here, and... Here it is! I found it! Okay! Okay! I get it! He laughed and waved us on after granting us a green bunny sketch. And the mother behind me with her own small children smothers a giggle...
