As I said yesterday the comment sounded very much like a Pilot responding to a tower as he moved to a different traffic controller. The tower comment previously advises the frequency for Ho Chi Minh 120.9. So why did Malaysian officials say what they did? Pilots often say see ya to the previous controller as part of the radio acknowledgement. At 1.19 and 24 seconds, the tower says: “Malaysian Three Seven Zero contact Ho Chi Minh 120 decimal 9 Good Night.” Five seconds later, MH370 says: “Good night, Malaysia three seven zero”.
