As I sat here this morning looking in my news-feed before I started my daily routine of kids, editing, and so forth...I saw a post that threw me back a little. It was a post basically making fun of another person. I saw how many likes the post had and some of the likes were of people I know really well. Then I see a post by someone very near and dear to me about her mother dying last night and going home to be with Jesus. I am so saddened by this but rejoicing because I KNOW she is where she needs to be...smiling over us all. So many thoughts have flooded my mind since then of this overwhelming sense of sickness in this world. Not just sickness like Cancer(what her mother died of) but sickness of what this world should be?!?! Should we make fun of a person because he is BIG, because she is SKINNY, because she has NO HAIR, because he is a GAY, because she has ACNE, because he is HOMELESS...etc??? You see where I am coming from? This person does not deserve to be mocked at by people that have no idea of their situation. I just feel the world has come to a bunch of bullies making fun or not accepting others because they are not perfect or like YOU or believe the same things you believe. Yes, some people are strange...hell, I have been known to be called CRAZY a few times in my life as well. More often than not probably. But people, REALLY? Is that necessary? We, as Christians or NOT, need to lift one another UP not bring each other DOWN. My final determination is that I must pray. I must pray for the people being mocked as well as the ones being so unkind. I must pray for the dying and the ones that lost their loved ones. I must pray for my family and set an example of GOOD and a kind heart. I am not perfect and I am not saying that I am but I think it is time WE TRY! All of us!
