As I sat in a long queue of traffic at the roundabout past Tythegston on the A4106, leading onto the Laleston bypass, I had an idea.... Currently, traffic approaching the roundabout from Bridgend has a choice of two lanes to go straight over towards Pyle and, as few bother to indicate that they intend turning left towards Porthcawl, this often causes delays. Why not therefore paint ‘PORTHCAWL ONLY’ on the left hand approach lane to the roundabout, which would speed things up there? A similar system could help keep traffic running smoothly on the A4229 roundabout at South Cornelly, in front of the Esso garage, by painting ‘LEFT TURN ONLY’ for traffic intending to use the bypass...
