As I sat waiting for my husbands lunch, I glanced over at the Bar next door. A whole line of port a johns, a ginormous tent full of people yelling and loud music playing. 2 young ladies stumbling to their PT Cruiser while giggling and yelling Yea Man! To an older gentleman asking if they were having a good time at the party. None of it seemed appealing. Waking up at 5am to go drinking all day long, hanging out with a bunch of drunks...just doesnt strike my fancy, but thats just me. After dropping off Kyles lunch, the kids and I headed home and got out Gages Awana Book and read this weeks Bear Hug assignment while the kids sat so eager to hear about Timothys Birthday Party shenanigans. Then we acted out the Story of David & Goliath for Gages Under the Apple Tree assignment. As I sat there, thinking of all the people out today getting drunk for St. Pattys Day, I Thanked God for my life, for my husband, kids and to sit at home on this Day and enjoy the day with the ones who are most important to me.
