As I sip tea from the cutest gift ever (a 24-105mm Canon lens thats actually a thermos) my home is filled with beautiful aromas from candles courtesy of my wonderful friends Dymond, Ariane & Yahtta. I look around my living room and see wonderful gifts given over the years from the hearts of those who care deeply for me. I cant list them all but there is a Be Awesome Today box from Alison, a collage of photos framed of black women loving one another and getting married from Em Maxey to remind me that a fulfilling romantic relationship is still possible for me. Then there are the Best Friend picture frames from Beth & La Tonya with photos of us smiling and enjoying ourselves along with my favorite photos from my time with Rev. Traci Blackmon and the residents of Canfield Green Apartments, framed by Tonya. Theres even the camera I started my business with that Tonya loaned me until I recently could afford my own. Theres a photo of Lola and I on my monitor laughing at the Pink House over the summer and a photo from my friend LaButterfly Holmes grandson. Looking at those photos reminds me to honor the kid in me. Last in my field of view is the leather bound journal my mother bought me with the words Remember to write painted on front. The vision and mission statements for my company were created in that book, pages and pages until I settled on the right words to describe what I was born to do. Wow....I am so loved and supported. Nothing means more to me than this. Lord I thank you :-)
