As I sit and think of Christmas past I remember the smells of Momma baking weeks before and putting pies, cakes, candies, and cookies in the freezer! I remember how cheerful everyone around the square would be when Daddy would take all three of us girls on Christmas Eve to buy something for Momma! Then life was so simple and I had no ideal what hard work Momma and Daddy did to buy Christmas for three little girls and prepare for family with all the baking! Plus, Daddy worked at the Hwy Dept. by day and Jones Gas Station until 10 at night. Momma babysit several kids, did ironings for a couple ladies, and cared for her own three girls and household chores! I am wore out just what Ive done and I havent even started baking yet or wrap gifts! But my kids are coming with my grandkids and Dwight, Julie, and Aaron are coming and Im excited to have my house full of love! (Hopefully baby Rylee will be here, too!) Thats what its all about! Sharing the love that GOD has given us in our hearts! Im blessed to still have Momma and Daddy, Carla and Karen, and all my nieces and their kids! We have been truly blessed this year and I want to thank GOD for all hes done for me! Merry Christmas to all of you! Dont worry about the gifts this year, just visit the ones you love and share the memories and give GOD the praise and glory! Hes the reason for the season!
