As I sit here peddling away it would appear there is no destination reachable on a stationary bike...you peddle and peddle in the same location. Logic says your location never changes...however what this past year has been to me is a year of observation, a year of acceptance, recognition and most importantly change. We sometimes think being still can slow us down or slow progress but sometimes staying in the same destination...like on a stationary bike does not mean change isnt taking place. Each day my body is changing as I ride this bike day after day yet never leaving the same spot. Our god calls us sometimes to Be still and know that I am God , all the while we pray, get in his word and draw near to him in that place of stillness and the same destination our journey had begun. Yet when He whispers move you realize His transformation in you, your heart, your attitude your very way of doing things..all while being still . Were a society that is afraid to be still we want an instant fix or gratification or our hurts to be made right...all the while God is chasing after us but he cant catch us because were running the rat race of perfection. You dont have to race around searching for change and answers or changing location. GOD has you where he does for good reason and purpose. And maybe the very thing you were running from is your final destination, he just needed to tone you down to be that person He so desires you to be...you see I literally am slimming off the excess my body doesnt need to carry on this bike at the same address never changing location daily! He can do the same for your friendships, personal relationships, family relationships. He can chip away at the excess baggage so that you can love one another as He loved you! Then and only then will you be ready for what He has planned...so my encouragement for you today is to be still. ..let God love you, shape you. Its all about the love peeps! Keep it simple ;) LISTEN to this and be reminded how very much you are adored...
