As I sit here reading everyones comments and messages I am so overwhelmed by the amount of love we have been shown. This definitely isnt easy but only because we are human, we miss Carson, we want him back here with us out of selfishness, because HE enhanced OUR lives. Thats natural, thats those human emotions that sometimes we just wish we could ignore but we cant. Im not going to sit here and act like Im perfectly fine because Im not. Im hurting and I miss those sweet smiles and that sweet little sleepy baby face I got to wake up to for a couple weeks. What I dont miss however is the gagging, the struggling for air, the seizures, and the painful irritation that seemed to never let Carson be at peace. The normal that Carson had to battle day in an day out just wasnt fair. So yes I am hurting but that is temporary and Im still wearing a smile because thats what Carson would want. Its so natural to say Im sorry to someone that has lost a loved one, especially a child, but dont be sorry. Do not pitty us. We made the decision to end Carsons suffering for him since he couldnt do it for himself, so that he would have no more pain. Pain is temporary, my sons peace with God is everlasting. So dont be sorry. Smile and rejoice as heaven gained one perfect little angel and that little angel is breathing easy for the first time ever!
