As I survey the news, all stations, liberal and conservative, as I read the blogs, surf the net, it would be very easy to get very scared. The people running this country, democrats and republicans, supreme court justices, to the legislative and executive branches, have in their greed, and lack of wisdom launched this country into a cesspool of insanity the likes that we have never known. It astounds me to see the reach of government from our health care to our education system. But, even as the potential for despair is certainly there, I am reminded, God is absolutely in control. It is important to engage, to vote, to use the tools we are given as Americans to pursue change, but, at the end of the day, God is still God, and there is nothing any political agenda can do about that. Praise the Lord! Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love. Psalms 25
