As I told you earlier, Ed Wuestenberg was transferred from Henry Ford Hospital to the rehab part of the Armada Nursing Home on Thursday. Ed’s progress has been very slow. When I saw him on Friday he was in rehab. Ed has to be on oxygen, his diabetes continues to cause him problems, such as an upset stomach and his blood sugar is way too high for a person with diabetes. When I spoke with Ed and his wife Irm today, Irm told me that Ed will see his kidney specialist tomorrow. He is retaining way to much water; his doctors have to come up with a way to help his circulation. In rehab, they are trying to build up his strength, but until they can get the edema problem in his legs solved, and his diet solved, most likely Ed will not make the progress that he wants to! Hopefully, after seeing the kidney specialist tomorrow, Ed and Irm, will get some answers! Ed told me today that has enjoyed the visits from his friends, but does not like talking on the phone, so for now, no phone number for Ed. When I know more I will pass it on!
