As I understand the evidence from the death of Michael Brown there - TopicsExpress

As I understand the evidence from the death of Michael Brown there are some things proven beyond questioning. 1. All the shots hit him from the front, not from the rear as he was running away. This was concluded by 3 medical examiners, two public and one independent. 2. Brown was the aggressor. Eye witnesses testified that was the case both while the officer was in his car and in turning and charging him when he was shot. Some of those witnesses had originally made statements favoring Brown but when placed under oath testified differently. 3. The officer gave him opportunity, and orders, to stop and surrender. This was in his statement after the shooting and confirmed by the witnesses. I know I didnt, and cant get all the evidence and wouldnt want to have the final word from just this evidence. But the grand jury did have it all and concluded that there was not enough evidence for the officer to be charged, much less convicted. The grand jury system is still a legal and functioning part of the court system and should be honored. The fact that there are protesters screaming for justice cannot affect that function if the legal system is to be fair and equal for all. The protesters dont have all the evidence either. I believe those claiming to protest injustice are in reality only wanting the excitement and the goodies they can steal under the guise of protesting and should be prosecuted fully. Much of their crimes are on camera. Then they could look at justice from the side they should be on, jail. I watched some of the Ferguson news on three channels last night. It amazes me how differently the slant on the situation is. Headline News (Nancy Grace) had an attitude that was very defiant, encouraging the protests and condemning of the police. The second channel, I dont remember which it was, was nearly as bad. The third was Fox News. Their coverage had a tilt to the right, conservative, but was far from the degree of HLN. They had people on both sides explaining how they saw the legality and the fallout from the grand jury decision. I was impressed by Megan Kellys fairness. If I didnt know already that she is a conservative, it would have been hard to tell her opinion by the questions on both sides. At the end she did give her opinion on parts of it but not to influence viewers thoughts during the debates.
