As I walked last night the Lord revealed to me that I/we tend to - TopicsExpress

As I walked last night the Lord revealed to me that I/we tend to get upset easily at the actions of others and often condemn them for those actions, but when we do the same actions or similar actions we want patience and understanding from others. I was taught that you cannot assume the intent of others, you cannot know why they do what they do. To assume intent is pride, for only God knows the heart of another person. They sit at a stop light through the green and I am incredibly frustrated at their stupidity and self centeredness as I know they must have been looking at their cell phone. Minutes later I sit too long at a green, they honk and I think, impatient idiots, I just looked down for a moment, why are they in such a hurry. As, these thoughts were convicting me for my impatience with others, the Lord reminded of Jn 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Such an amazing statement especially when the scripture says in Heb 4:13-15 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Jesus faced everything we face and more but He in perfection came not to condemn our imperfection. If we are to be like Him, we who are imperfection must stop condemning imperfection and even more important God spoke to me that I in my imperfection should never condemn perfection. How do we condemn perfection? We question, get upset or frustrated with what He does, how He does it and when He does it. We disagree which means we condemn or judge the actions of God. If perfection who knows the intent of our hearts is patient with imperfection should not imperfection be patient with perfection.
