As I was walking down a flight of stairs out in the open I saw a child perhaps 7-8 years of age left to beg with no socks or jacket on. Trembling in the cold. Not far from him there was a man selling socks for 5TL. I thought buying a pair of socks for him would be better than giving him some coins. I approached the man who was selling socks and he had two colours. Beige and brown socks. I said to him Can I have a brown pair? The man replied Im legally blind can you please take it from my hand I paid him and went back to the boy who was sitting on the staircase bare footed. I helped him wear his socks and walked off. Today God reminded me of 3 blessings. The clothes I have. The eyes I can see with. And a heart that needs constant reminder of the blessings. All praise be to Allah who is merciful enough to send reminders.
