As I was breaking down the shelter today with the staff of Community Church/ New City Church I open the complaint box to find this touching letter. It reads: To Whom it May Concern, I was a guest at Day by Day for only one night. My stay here was truly eye opening. What you are doing here for these people I pray is life changing. I am shocked to see all of the people in here that have no place to go! Thank you so much for opening your doors and accommodating so much for these souls. God will bless you. Thank you for my new tooth brush and tooth paste, and also for breakfast and for charging my phone. And your staff is so warm and non-judging. This was truly an experience I will never forget. I pray you find a new building soon. Thank you again - A grateful guest And this my friends is why we do what we do here at the shelter!
