As I was in prayer and spending time with the LORD today I remembered vaguely that I had a dream the night prior about eyes being removed from the face of a person and being traded for other eyes; it was a brief but impactful dream. So I being the inquirer that I am, was lead to ask the LORD of this dream in my time with him and he took me to a passage in the book of Ezekiel 20:17 Yet My eye spared them rather than destroying them, and I did not cause their annihilation in the wilderness (NASB). To give this text some context it is speaking on how Israel did abominations in the site of God and he wanted to pour out his fury on them but he had mercy on them but still brought Judgment. I wanted to know the Hebrew word for eye so I could get closer to what God was showing me. The Strong’s numbering system has this word as number 5869. As I read the uses for this word in the Hebrew the LORD through the Holy Spirit helped me to understand that his eye is Jesus Christ and that His Spirit which is the Holy Spirit was in intersession for the nation of Israel even in their time of rebellion. Jesus is our high priest and makes intersession for man (Hebrews 6:20); His Spirit travels back and forth throughout the entire earth looking for someone to use mightily for the purposes of the Father (2Chronicles 16:9). As the LORD made this known to me it gave me insight to the next place in scripture he took me which was to the book of Job and Job is quoted as saying in chapter 29:3 When his candle shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness (rf. Prov.25:2-7); now Jesus said that the eye is the lamp of the body and if your eye is good your whole body will be full of light, but If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!(matt.6:22-23). So why the description of the dream and why did I go into telling you that Jesus is the Holy Spirit? Because I need to tell you that judgments coming to America! Just as God spoke to his prophet Ezekiel and to him to warn the people of Israel I must warn you America. The LORD says “My Son, fear the LORD and the king; do not associate yourself with those given to change: For their calamity will rise suddenly, and who knows the ruin those two can bring? He who says to the wicked, You are righteous, Peoples will curse him, nations will abhor him; If a ruler pays attention to falsehood, All his ministers become wicked. When the wicked increase, transgression increases; But the righteous will see their fall. (Prov.24:21-22, 24; 29:12, 16) My Friends the eyes of our nation’s leadership are not good and we can see the signs of what a nation who parts ways with God, who established those looks like in the book of Ezekiel chapter 20 as we as a nation pattern ourselves in the fashion of rebellious Jerusalem (rf.Ezek.16, 2Kings 17). My Friends, The Holy Spirit is the watcher of men and visits us every morning and tests us every moment, he exalts us and sets his heart on us. We speak in the anguish of our spirits and complain in the bitterness of our souls but like the sea or a sea serpent He has set a guard over us. He scares us with dreams and terrifies us with visions but he does it because he cares for us. He gives us light because our ways are hidden and we are not at ease with the fact that we can’t see the future and so we can’t rest, we have no ease and there is no quiet, why? Because there must be an awakening, for trouble comes! ( rf. Job 7; 3:23,26)
