As I was leaving my shop I thought I smelled smoke. Figured someone was starting their grill. Then I see a couple of neighbors running toward the back of our adjoining properties. One hollers that a shed is on fire. Someone is yelling Call 911 and a third is dragging out a garden hose. I quickly figure out that the fire is right behind my landlords building so I run for my hose. I threw my hose over the fence into the landlords locked yard and scaled the fence. When I got my hose to the corner of his building I could see the storage shed in the neighbor yard to north of ours was afire and the fire was spreading to the untended landscaping. I dowsed the outside flames and then trained my hose on the shed itself. Soon I could see my neighbors water stream coming thru the shed from the opposite side and the fire was losing. Shortly thereafter the fire department showed up from the north side and they joined in. Thank God and a 100 garden hose nothing but the crappy shed and a bush were burnt. High fives all around and we went about our business. Yeah Team Neighbors! Thanks Tucson Fire Department.
