As I was listening to the NSB mayor$ debate I got to thinking what the 5 term Mayor has done in his 5 terms for our villages. Come to think of it, he eliminated a lot of services in the villages before anything was taken away in Barrow! Our daycare funding was taken away along with funding for the Cultural Center, and other services like the Laundromat was shut down. Housing shortage were not really addressed and ignored. Our young people were left behind with no social programs to better enhance their lives. Thanks to Mayak programs and healthy communities I see a generation of young leaders emerging and living a healthier life, but I say we can do more. I heard this 5 term mayor stated that he wants to get back the NSB? From who? Today I see housing coming up, our daycare facilities just about open and our young ladies are training today for those jobs. NSB Mayor Charlotte Brower has worked with our local entities in correcting what the Ahmaogak administration has done in the 5 terms he was Mayor. It will not take over night to undo and correct or build up the NSB our current Mayor isnt finished so lets support CHARLOTTE BROWER FOR NORTH SLOPE BOROUGH MAYOR
