As I was reading my Bible in the 1st chapter of Mark verses 40-45 - TopicsExpress

As I was reading my Bible in the 1st chapter of Mark verses 40-45 God revealed a very important message to me. When the leper kneeled down before Jesus and ask if Jesus could make him clean. Jesus put forth his hand and touched him and said I will; be thou clean. As soon as Jesus spoke the leprosy immediately departed from him and he was cleansed. Jesus told him to say nothing about his healing to any man but to show himself to the priest and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. But instead the man disobeyed and began to go out and tell everyone causing people to flock to Jesus from every quarter. After this incident with the leper Jesus realized that even though he had physically cleansed the man that he still lacked a spiritual healing. This justified Jesus decision to put more emphasis on preaching rather than healing. The message I received is that many times as Christians we find ourselves praying for many people. We pray for their sickness, addictions, and several other things. Rather than just praying for a bodily or physical healing we should first and foremost pray for a spiritual healing for each person that doesnt know The Lord. This earthly body is just a dwelling place for our soul and one day will go back to the dust. Therefore a spiritual healing is far more important since our souls will live for all of eternity. It is more important that we are spiritually healed and prepared for eternity rather than worrying more about earthly things that will soon come to pass. Im sorry this status was so long but God put it on my heart to share this. God bless you all!🙏 Mark 1:40-45King James Version (KJV) 40 And there came a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. 42 And as soon as he had spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was cleansed. 43 And he straitly charged him, and forthwith sent him away; 44 And saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. 45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to blaze abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
