As I was walking around the city yesterday, I couldnt help to notice the large amount of homeless people. They werent asking people for anything, they all just simple had a sign that read I need help. I feel like crap because I would walk by each one of them as if they were invisible. A part of me thought that it was a scam, or they just were to lazy to get up and do productive things with their lives. But the more I think about it that way just makes me sick with myself. So this morning as I was leaving the city, I ended up at a light and there was a homeless man holding a sign. As he approached my car I rolled down the window and gave him everything in my wallet (it wasnt much, probably $11) and my buddy Zachary gave him the second half of his vegan bagel. It was at that moment when I finally felt proud of myself. Im not trying to brag or post this for likes. I just really want to share the happiness and excitement I felt at that moment. My point is that we all need help. My mother helped me form the day I was born and even let me live with her rent free for 20 years of my life. This is why I am able to help others because of the position she put me in. If you have the chance to help someone but you hear those negative thoughts in your head, just ignore them. You will feel so much better knowing that you cared enough to help out another soul. Happy New Years friends. I hope you all make the best of 2015!
