As I was watching TED Biology on YouTube, I asked myself this - TopicsExpress

As I was watching TED Biology on YouTube, I asked myself this question, Is it possible for us, the students, to invite out-of-province (or country) researchers, say from Harvard? So I sent Dr. Byard an e-mail and this is what I got. I think our seminar series will be infinitely more interesting if we had the resources (i.e. money) to invite out-of-province researchers. Anyways, apart from the NML community liaison and Dr. Domeslaar, other seminar topics we are considering are: 1. Genetically modified food (GMF or better known as genetically modified organism, GMO) and its impact on developing and developed societies; 2. Music and dream and neurobiology/psychology: how does listening to classical music enhances your brain performance? Does it change your neurotopography? If so, for better or for worse? etc.; 3. Why funding basic science is important? Whats Canadas role on international scientific stage? (how about inviting a politician?); 4. Biotechnology If you have any other interesting topics you want to learn, please send us an e-mail! We will give our best consideration!
