As I watch my sons sleep, I am thankful today for the last 10 years with my son Collin. You see 10 years ago today he was born, miraculously, with half a heart, its called Hypo-plastic Left Heart Syndrome. He has endured 3 open heart surgeries, countless appointments, and as of today, I am blessed to say he is as healthy as he can be and Im the upper one percentile of all the people with this. Needless to say he is my hero, he never complains or wonders what life is like as a normal child, he goes at life with the wonderment and zeal of every 10 year old and I thankful to everyone who has touched his life, his doctors, Stacey Staats, and Patrick Callahan are rock stars and the people at Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia are beyond stars to us, have a great day today son, you are loved more than pub will ever know by many!!
