As I watched it yesterday, in a state of wonder to say the least, - TopicsExpress

As I watched it yesterday, in a state of wonder to say the least, I couldnt help but remember my previous (and also mesmerising) film session, Herzogs Aguirre, and feel that Ghost in the Shell is a vision made of the same matter, the same quest. Both are telling us about being human in a land of things of other nature, about dreams and delirium. There are as many ghosts, death, desire and madness in one as in the other. Watching Motoko coming to the surface, humanised by the fear of the oceans darkness reminded me of how it all began with hundreds of people finding their balance in the narrow and vertiginous tracks of the Andes mountains. Swap their soundtracks, I bet they fit as if made for one another! Voices from the depths of the flesh and the mind; mechanic in Aguirre and human in Ghost in the Shell. There is the key.
