As I woke up this morning and Its a Wonderful Life was on the TV in the hotel room and although I have seen it at least 50 times over the years I sat up and watched it again. I havent watched it since LA Passed away last year and I guess I was supposed to watch it today, it is my favorite movie of all time and I always go away with a life lesson. No one will ever take the place of LA in my life, we just had too strong of a bond for me to ever let go of what we had. She was able to do something to me and for me that I couldnt do on my own and that is grow up. I now take responsibility for my actions, something I found hard to do 20 years ago. I also realize that no man is an island and in saying that I want to give thanks for all the family and friends that have helped me through the last year and that includes my Home Depot Family! I realize that I am grateful for my South Dakota and New York familys that includes my mother Barb Alley and her sister Betty Sorenson who are known as the Sunshine Twins, my brother Ronald Alley and his wonderful family. I have had the opportunity thanks to Kim Skinner to re-connect with my sons Austin Skinner and Aaron Skinner and Aarons wife April along with my three grandchildren. Being able to talk with Edna my mother-in-law has been a great thing as well as Sandy and Curt and Pat and Richard Dunspaugh. I wrote a song about what I was going through with the loss of LA and it has had almost 6 million views in three months after its release to the public on itube247 I want to thank Jimmy Adams and his whole team along with all of the participants in the video. This Video and song I Feel For You (LAs Song) reached a lot of people going through loss and the honesty of it really made a statement that so many could relate to, that alone is something that I am grateful for in the last year. I also want to thank Robert Keith Stegall for giving me a reason not to give up on my dreams. Now last but not least, and I want everyone to know what a difference Angie Lynda has made in my life. In watching the Christmas movie this morning I feel like I have my own Donna Reed in my life. She has helped me through a lot in the last year and I am very grateful for her. All of the things that I have gone through in the last year could have made me give up, but with all of the people I have mentioned above made me realize that if I just pick myself up I have a lot to live for and that makes A Wonderful Life Merry Christmas Everybody! Love Dak Barb Alley Betty Sorensen Robert Keith Stegall Angie Lynda Aaron Skinner Richard Dunspaugh
