As I work through the last little remnants of my anxiety, I try to share my discoveries in overcoming it with the hopes that it can help others dealing with the same thing. Today, I applied something I thought would work and I believe it did. I was driving down to Weslaco (something Im still getting used to again) and I started thinking about what causes anxiety. Its the correlation of something negative with the activity that youre trying to perform. So what I did, when my anxiety peaked a little, was smile - think of something that brings me happiness - and then say out loud that I love doing whatever it is Im doing at that moment. Make sure to breathe nice and easy and RELAX YOUR SHOULDERS. I can almost guarantee that if youre anxious your shoulders are by your ears. Anyway, it worked for me. Hope this helped.
