As I worked at Go Mart on that horrible Tuesday, our lives changed forever. We were not allowed to have a radio at that time, so we were getting our info as customers came in. I was scared, 9 months pregnant with Claira, and thought she was coming any moment. I remember ALL TRUCKS were ordered off the highways, ALL PLANES grounded, PARENTS FRANTICLY GETTING THEIR CHILDREN FROM SCHOOLS not wanting them on a bus for fear of losing them. AS A NATION, WE WERE AT A STANDSTILL. FEAR HAD US IN ITS GRASP. AS WE REMEBER THOSE THAT PARRISHED, WE TAKE PRIDE IN ALL OF THE UNSUNG HEROES OF THAT DAY. TOO MANY TO NAME AND NEVER FORGOTTEN.
