As I wrote the other day about having such a special little brother. Today I want to write about how lucky I was and am to be the little brother. Normaly my older brother Robb Britting is right in the mix on the holidays stirring up the kids. They love their Uncle Robb! They love how he jumps in and plays video games or watches cartoons with them. Today however he was ill with a touch of the flu. Him not being here today made me switch to memories about how he was my big brother. We were both adopted children. (not from the same family) My parents just knew they wanted kids and thought they couldnt have any of their own so they became stuck with us! hehehe!!! Robb acted the roll of Big Bro teaching me about sneaking out to watch TV after we were supposed to be in bed. We watched Saturday Night Live when it was full actors from seasons 7-15. We must have watched every episode together waiting for Mom to wake up from our laughter and tell us to go to bed. Then we would sneak out again to watch Benny Hill and the Three Stooges! I was too young to understand most of the jokes but I knew I was doing something fun! I remember the times we both complained about cleaning our rooms or shooting BB guns. I had an appetite as a child but I never seemed to eat as many chicken legs at Grandmas house the way Robb could.... He had many interest that I didnt share and I used to think that we just grew apart even though we still loved each other as brothers. I was wrong. We never grew apart. Some may say we never even grew up! HaHaHaHa!!! We may not have shared every footstep in life but I dont think that we should have either. We each had our own place at home and we each were loved by our parents to be ourselves. It proved such an important lesson to me about how doing things or being different isnt bad. In fact, its neat to have so many different things to talk about or share because we didnt do exactly the same things. I just know that Im glad Emma and Kayla have birthdays coming up soon and hopefully Robb can get over here and juice up the kids again. Heres to you Robb! Its not truly Barber Shop style but it fits in a funny sort of word play sort of way without you here today. Merry Christmas with or without you here. Hope you feel better soon! https://youtube/watch?v=YZtgZ5fHOuU Love Me, Laura & the kids!
