As Im about to spend my last R3000 on the fake hair, and thinking - TopicsExpress

As Im about to spend my last R3000 on the fake hair, and thinking that some of my other Black sisters spend even more, monthly for these weaves. This thought just crossed my mind: In the same way that White people do not make an attempt to deepen their voices to obtain a tone/accent identical to that of natives, they also do not spend thousands of rands every month buying afro hair or planting dreadlocks to look like natives, because White people have defined for themselves what beautiful is, and it has nothing to do with hair that looks like that of natives. They keep their natural hair which, whether or not they like, they have learned to accept and live with. They may cut or style it, dye or trim it, but they do not fall all over themselves or spend thousands of rands monthly, trying to plant afros and dreadlocks on it, and maintaining them. Thats White people. Oh, and they dont tan because they want to have dark brown skins like Blacks, they tan because they want olive skin like the one of Latinas. Latinas are not Blacks. Why do we have to spend this much? Ill be keeping and maintaining my Afro hair this year, my dreadlocks were cheaper and more beautiful than these expensive weaves! Have a great day, human race!
