As Marge Mullaly said -- IT DOES NOT TAKE MUCH for people our age to be happy !! And today started off GREAT: 1 - Actually feeling better after over a week of this cold / flu 2 - Went to Sams yesterday afternoon and loaded up a trunk of stuff like 25 Kilos of beans / corn meal / salt / sugar / COOKIES / Sweetened Condensed Milk / etc for one of my favorite Mexican families [ Juan Carlos and Elena ] and delivered it this a.m. ---- not for sure who was happier - them or ME !!!! 3 - Today is Juan Carloss 37th birthday -- told him at 74 I was TODAY exactly TWICE HIS AGE !!! OH NO he says !!! 4 - Saw and talked with his oldest child - Ulisses . Ulisses was the very FIRST person from the Village to EVER graduate from Preparatory [ High School ]. That is an accomplishment -- but now he has a job in the Bandaras Bay area as an Inspector of Restaurants/Businesses !! GOOD job for this young man. And his next two siblings BOTH work for MEGA Commercial [ the Mexican WalMart ] They have to keep a B average in school to keep the job. THIS is the BEST job in this entire area for kids during HighSchool -- So this particular family RIGHT NOW [ who knows next week ] are doing WAY above my expectations --- HAPPY day for me . 5 - I had a donation of a MONEY CARD from Toys r Us from Martha Strong Kernand one of the things I got for the Village was a set of Double Six Dominos in a very nice wooden case --- in the Village EVERY afternoon the Viejo Mexicanos [ OLD MEN ] play this very game at Nicholas Casa --- So took the set in early this a.m. / laid it on the playing table / called out Nick and showed it to him -- HE COULD NOT BELIEVE IT !! So Martha so far you have made the OLD MEN [ my age group ] a VERY happy bunch. And I have had TWO cups of GOOD Mexican coffee -- could my day have started off any better ???
