As Sh. Muhammad Hassan always says, by Allah, no one truly appreciates and knows the value of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) beside our Lord, the Most High! Imagine, in the Quran, Allah addresses many Prophets by name, O Adam, O Musa, O Ibrahim, O Isa, O Zakariyya, O Yahya, O Nuh, etc. However, He never addresses the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) in that way (i.e. O MUhammad); rather He says, O Prophet, O Messenger or He addresses him by some attribute, O you who covers himself (al-Muddaththir), O you who wraps himself (al-Muzzammil), etc. Furthermore, whenever his name (Muhammad) is mentioned, it is always mentioned along with the description of being a Prophet or a Messenger. All this is to show utmost respect and reverence for the best of all prophets and messengers. {Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.} (33:56)
