As Simchat Torah (Joy of the Torah) comes to a close and we enter - TopicsExpress

As Simchat Torah (Joy of the Torah) comes to a close and we enter Shabbat, what deep and glorious secrets lie under the text as we finish Deuteronomy and start over in Genesis. The last letter in Deuteronomy is the L of Israel. The first letter in Genesis is the B of Beresheet (In the beginning). Together they spell Lev, meaning heart. Thus when we end one year cycle and start into the next year cycle of the Torah and go through it, we are seeing the Heart of G-d. When I look at the B of Beresheet, the first word in the Bible, which loooks like this: ב, I am amazed beyond description!! It was noted by R Nechunia in the Bahir, circa end of 1st century c.e., that this letter opens up into the Creation account. Much lie the creation event the cosmologists over the last century have termed the Big Bang (actually that name was given by opponents to the idea, but it stuck). THere is a tail on the letter that points back to the silent, invisible (in speech) letter- the aleph, according to R Nechunia. That tail represents the singularity from which the Big Bang, or Creation Event occurred. THe aleph, א is a three part letter- two yods, י, and a vav, ו, whose numerical values add up to 26, the same as the numerical value of the Holy Name Y-H-V-H!!! So, in the first letter of the Bible, we have pictured modern cosmology- the Big Bang stemming from a singularity sourced in a Being outside of our Universe!!!! Also when I look at the first letter, whose numerical value is 2, and spell out its name- בית, many other fascinating clues shine forth!!! The ב carries the idea of in, or by as a causal agency, the י means hand, and the ת means a mark of a covenant (cp Ezekiel 9). In ancient Hebrew it was written thus: t, or in the shape of a cross So, in the first letter of the Torah, we see represented By the Hand on the Cross. If one takes the numerical value of the letters making up בית, they equal 412. If I take the name of Y-H-V-H, which is26 a mentioned above, and add the numerical value of the name of Yeshua (386), I have 412. Isnt that awesome? So, we have Yeshua the Moshiach imbedded in the first letter of the Torah, as well as His work of redemption!!!! By the way, the first word of the Torah, Beresheet can be broken down to B- by the agency of, Rosh- Head or MInd, the Yod or hand, and the Tav- the mark of the covenant being the cross. THe second word of the Torah, btw, Bara- He created contains the initials of Ben (Son) Ruach (Spirit) and Abba (or Av- Father). Interesting later in the section of Day 1, when the text says that the Ruach, or Spirit of G-d was fluttering over the waters, the Rabbis recognize this as the Ruach Moshiach- the Spirit of Moshiach. THis is long, so Ill stop and say Shabbat Shalom and happy meditating!!! :)
