As Spring arrives, and you and your pets start to spend more time outside, are you aware about the dangers lurking out there? Weed killers (Phenoxy acid herbicides) are harmful to your pets. Dogs and cats can become very ill, very quickly if they accidentally ingest them. Symptoms include; drowsiness, lethargy, drooling, vomiting and diarrhoea and confused behaviour. Blue Green Algae grow in fresh and salt water and tend to be a problem in Spring and Summer. Ingestion can result in vomiting and diarrhoea, breathing difficulties, collapse and death. If you suspect your pet has eaten anything contaminated with these substances, please contact us immediately.
