As Vasu Sojitra expertly weaves his way through the snow, he could easily be mistaken for any other experienced skier. However, the 23-year-old developed septicaemia as a child and had his leg amputated – making his ability on the ski slopes even more extraordinary. The Connecticut born athlete, who works for a non-profit organisation which helps the disabled and children with cancer enjoy outdoor activities, says that his brother encouraged him to try different sports. Sojitra competes against able bodied athletes simply because there are no competitions for adaptive skiers. https://youtube/watch?v=CPPXeafIiFc
