As #WorldHijabDay approaching, we would like to take this moment to remind ourselves foremost and our beloved supporters to be mindful of their comments toward our sisters who share their story on our page. This page is all about showing support to each other, NOT passing judgment. Passing judgment is a form of discrimination which goes completely against WHD. Please keep in mind that many stories are shared by both Muslims and non-Muslims in a form of support showing solidarity with Muslim hijabi sisters who face discrimination due to their hijab. And, the last thing they need is judgment from us. Negative comments are mean, hurtful, inappropriate, and unacceptable. We have zero tolerance for them. We’ll not hesitate to ban anyone who passes negative comments toward our sisters. Also keep in mind that there is no such thing as perfect hijab as modesty is always work in progress. And, we can’t expect everyone to reach the same level of piety at the same rate. All of us work differently. And, if we think that we’re forbidding evil then let’s keep in mind that forbidding evil has conditions which should be used using hikmah (wisdom). Let’s show the world the true teachings of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Let’s be kind and gentle towards each other through both actions and words.
