As a Believer your identity is not in your condition but your position in Christ, your condition will never change your position but your position will change your condition. You are not trying to change to become Christ-like rather you are Christ-like and for that reason you are changing. You are not a depressed person trying to obtain Joy, you are a Joyful person learning to walk in Joy in spite of the circumstances, you are not a confused person trying to become peaceful, you are a peaceful person learning to walk in peace during the storm. You are not an unfaithful person longing to have virtues of faithfulness, you are a faithful son/daughter of God learning to walk in faithfulness in every area of life, you are not an impatient person crying for patience but a patient person learning to keep focused on the Promises of God in spite of what the natural says. You are in Christ, Christ is in you, thats your position, your real identity, its in your spirit, don`t live by what the feelings of your body say, or emotions of unrenewed areas of your soul say. Live by what your heavenly Father says about you in His Word and watch the real you come forth- Dustin Noseworthy
