As a Progressive Educator and creator of my own Progressive Education System that I call Exceptional Education, I have been advocating for over 40 years that Education become more about cultivating the :WILL TO LEARN than about processing students to develop their WILL TO GRADUATE! The purpose of education should be to KNOW THYSELF and achieve the knowledge and experiential understanding to become a productive citizen; a successful individual and a happy human being! Exceptional Education has a very unique curriculum in which its synthesis constitutes a Spiritual Education (realization of the Souls existence, its evolution and purpose); a Moral Education (developing ethics that assure proper development of Consciousness, Conscience, Compassion, Courage, Confidence, Character and Conduct);a Social Education (learning the importance of loving, relating and communicating, and how successful relationships contribute to our human evolution as emotional and spiritual beings); a Physical Education (learning the physiology and anatomical knowledge of the human machine, its function, maintenance, health and overall care); a Technological Education (technological learning in order to keep pace with a rapid evolving culture of such technological advancement that dehumanization is possible without a Spiritual Education to prevent material values from replacing spiritual virtues); an Academic Education (to acquire a vocation of expertise skills and knowledge in order to be a productive and successful citizen). Autodidacticism (Self-Education) is the future of Education. Learning is a Self-Organizing system. No one knows this better than the renowned Scientist of Education, an Indian by the name of Sugata Mitra.
