As a Timelord, you do not have to worry too much about that. For instance, Doctor Who has lived through 11, now 12 regenerations and soon to be 13. His different selves have, through the miracle of crossing his own Timeline with the TARDIS or other methods of time-travel, met and has had numerous conversations in person with himself. 1, 2, and 3 met in The Three Doctors, all of the original Five with a Variant of the First in The Five Doctors, Number Six and Two met in The Two Doctors, Number Five and Ten (I know, sounds like a department store) met in Time Crash, Eleven has met himself a number of times, and on 11-23-2013, the 50th Anniversary Episode will have Ten, Eleven and yet another Doctor, joining forces to save the Universe yet again. Point of fact, the very first episode of Doctor Who premiered on the same exact day 50 years ago on the BBC, one day after the assassination of President Kennedy.
