As a child of the 60s I can not help but lament the sad state of what passes for music today. In the 60s music was the medium of social change, of revolution , heralding the dawn of a new age . Be it the mournful cry of Abraham, Martin & John, the joyous revelry greeting The Age of Aquarius, the dark anti-war mood of Sky Pilot or the cry for justice found in Ohio, music had meaning, it had purpose, and it gripped the national psyche in a way never felt before or since, and echoed through the national soul. It demanded engagement, it demanded hearing instead of just listening, it demanded action. Even in the backwaters of my hometown in Bay County we were not immune to the call to arms found in the music of the times, and in honor of those times I am posting perhaps the most socially significant song of my generation.... https://youtube/watch?v=7Vae_AkLb4Q
