As a christian, it surprises me a lot how we are always on d run every sunday morning to attend church mass/service. In fact, to say d truth, my church going attitude is as old as myself. But what I want to advice us this morning is dat d church is not d building u enter 4 ur mass/service but d congregation that occupy d building. Almost on a daily basis, we read and listen to Gods word which we believe has d power to transform a sinful life to a life full of righteousness, purity, love, joy, hope, faith n charity. But I still keep on wondering why after d church going, reading n listening to Gods word, we still go back to our filthy activities n become less better than our former self. Our problem is lack of commitment in doing Gods will. To be candid, almost everybody wants to be recognised by men as a true christian n not Jesus christ himself. I think this explains the fierce struggle especially in our churches for the position of elders, deacons, heads of organizations n d likes. We also see a situation whereby d rich, instead of giving to d poor with d right hand without d left hand knowing, they prefer to desecrate Gods altar by anouncing their benevolence on d altar of God. Well, like christ has said; they have received their own reward. I want to admonish us all. Please we shouldnt be like d pig whom after being washed clean by its owner, it still goes back to lie down in mess. My dear brothers n sisters, in every aspect of our lives, lets try our best in being christlike by not just hearing d word of God but doing what it says. This is absolute commitment n it also defines d character of a devoted christian. Lets change from our own pattern christianity which is defined by just regular church going n eye service and seek to follow d pattern of christianity laid down 4 us by christ himself n d early christians. Christianity in its entirety means christlike and being christlike entails being ur brothers keeper. Have a nice day. Good morning all.
