As a field official, what is assumed that I will bring to a championship meet for which my fee is already designed to compensate me? I would like to hear from throws, horizontal jumps, and vertical jump officials. I am a finish line official. I may clerk, count laps and call the finish, be a back-up timer. What equipment is assumed to be the officials responsibility to provide for each task? Lets keep going - starters; who provides the shells? I guess I am beating around the bush at Who is expected to supply what for a championship meet? I see division of responsibility among officials, meet committee, and site. Who supplies wind gauges, lap counters, tapes, shells, pistols, flags, PV and HJ measurement, scales, ... Yes, I have an ulterior motive. I am looking for usual and customary practices. I would be happy to talk to meet directors by phone or email.
