As a football fan, there is nowhere else Id be tonight than in front of my TV watching the first ever college football championship in the playoff era. But this is different - for me and everybody else with ties to Porter Ridge High School. One of our own, Matt Wogan, will be kicking for the Oregon Ducks tonight (#49). Ive had a hard time concentrating at work today because my mind has been wandering back to my days at PR. I remembered that conversation with Tony Pascarella that got me involved coaching there. Ive thought about Jim Leflore and how jacked up he would be to see this. Ive remembered all the amazing relationships Ive formed with the PR community, coaches and especially the players I got to coach. Matt will represent us all well tonight. Hes a great talent and an equally great young man. But that didnt make him unique at PR because there were so many unbelievable young men that came through that program in the 7 years I was there. As time passes I find myself appreciating them more and more and realizing how truly blessed I was. And Matt would be the first to tell you, when he takes that field tonight, he does so on the shoulders of us all. Win The Day Matt. Well ALL be watching!!
