As a founding member of a science communication non-profit, I see great value in the formal process of becoming incorporated, including having defined bylaws, quarterly meetings, voting for major changes, etc. It honestly is not that difficult to do once there is agreement that it should be done. I volunteered to assist with this for SF months ago, and I do not know nor do I want to rehash the reasons why the process stopped. I still see value in SF and continue to be available to bring my expertise and experience to the table. I do not have a lot of time, but I want to help.
