As a guitar player for 39 years now, I can honestly say that I do know what the word "Tone" means. In that time I have played through a lot of systems, designed a lot of systems, and have owned a few as well. To me, when I think of "tone" I think of a Fender Strat with Lindy Fralin pickups, a Fender Deluxe Reverb amp, and a Ken Hillebert Acoustic guitar. Rarely have I ever associated a speaker cabinet with "tone"....until I heard this....The Danley Sound Labs TH115. In my opinion, the TH115 will go down in history as the greatest subwoofer ever created. Is it the loudest?...well, as far as 1x15 and 2x18 subs go...yes. As a matter of fact, it takes 2 1/2 EAW SB1000 2X18 Subs to equal the output of a single TH115. I wrote a white paper on that comparison. If you want to see it, email me and I will send it to you. Does it go as low as some of the others?....in some cases lower, but not always...but what it has is "TONE". GOBS OF TONE! In pairs, they are magical.
