As a hip hop artist myself, Ive put guns on my cover art as an aesthetic choice. That being said, as much as I may not like this artists musical subject matter or gangs themselves, the government is completely wrong to charge this man (with no criminal record I might add) with these spurious charges and threaten him with 25 years to life in prison over a nonexistent crime. Sure, he *may* be associated with a gang, and his character wouldnt deserve my support in that sense. But our legal system is supposed to operate off the presumption that people are innocent until proven guilty, and so far - the government has failed to meet its burden of proof. And the last time I checked, free speech was for *everyone*, including this individual. He is literally being treated like a murderer based on one baseless superficiality. For all we know, that gun could have been a Google images stock picture. -TheArmedSkeptic
